Each Sunday (with the exception of the last Sundays of the month) our Office Lobby is transformed into a Newcomer’s Reception. Please stop by immediately after either service to get detailed information about our ministries, small group opportunities, and upcoming/ongoing events at Bay Area. We’d love to meet you, share a cup of coffee and answer any questions that you have about our church. We want to make a large church feel small and the Newcomer’s Reception is a great place to meet someone who can help make that happen.
Our Bay Café opens up on Sunday mornings for you to fellowship with others, enjoy a cup of coffee or espresso and a snack. Ministry tables showcased around the perimeter are a great place to find out about current ministry happenings for all ages and interests.
How do the Ministries of Bay Area succeed? With your abilities and hearts! Serve Central takes place the last Sundays of the month in our Office Lobby immediately after each service. Come find out about the ministries that are in need of help and put your talents and abilities to use! There are many service opportunities available for all ages and all skill levels. You can find something to fit your schedule to serve once a week, once a month, or even once a quarter. We value your servanthood and look forward to getting you plugged into a ministry you love! You can also scope out our Ministry Areas to see about ministries you can get involved with. The next Serve Central is scheduled for April 27th in the Office Lobby after services.
As you may have noticed, Bay Area’s a big place - a really big place! That’s why we created Taste of Bay Area. This lunch, hosted by our Senior Pastor Greg St. Cyr and his wife Mary Kaye, is a fun, high energy peek at the heart of Bay Area Community Church. Come hear from our pastors, meet some new friends and get just a “taste” of some of the ministries around this place. We’ll take a tour of our Children’s Ministry and finish with dessert in the Bay Café. Kids are welcome and we’ve designed a special program just for them. Taste of Bay Area happens four times a year so keep an eye out at church in our weekly bulletin “Connections” for that date and information about our next "Taste." You can also visit our online events calendar. The next Taste of Bay Area is scheduled for April 27th in the Fireside Room at 12:30 PM.
Discovery Weekend is our version of a membership class. Rather than dragging this out over weeks, we offer it during an upbeat informative weekend of sessions taught by our church leadership that includes creative teaching approaches. You will grow in your faith as well as learn the biblical basis for our mission, core values, and approach to ministry. Another important part of Discovery Weekend is an orientation to small groups and various ministries at Bay Area. Discovery is required for those who want to join and lead at Bay Area Community Church. We offer Discovery Weekend three times each year. A children's program is offered during Discovery for those families with young children. Watch our church bulletin, "Connections" for details on the next Discovery Weekend.
