As we continue to grow in size, the role of our ushers is becoming increasingly important. We are men and women who love to exhibit warmth and concern for all individuals who attend Sunday worship. We help folks find a seat, distribute the Sunday bulletin (Connections), and we pass the offering baskets and communion elements.
In a church family as large as ours, name tags help us learn each other’s name. If you have a heart for helping people get to know each other and some administrative gifts, please consider joining our team. We’ll teach you everything you need to know and we’ll have fun, too!
Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me.” What a privilege it is to serve Jesus and our Bay Area family by preparing the “bread and cup” we use to commemorate His great love for us!
One of the most effective tools we have at our disposal is a tape of a Sunday message. Have you ever left a worship service and rushed to the tape table to get a copy of the message for that friend of yours that just needs to hear a good word? Well you’re not alone. You too can help take the Word to many places by joining the Tape Table Team.
The foyer can be a busy place on Sundays! Sometimes, people need to have someone they can talk to about what we’re about, or just how to get to the Sunday School wing! Would you like to help guide those who are new? Well then, consider taking a turn at the Welcome Table.
Are you strong? Just look at those speakers! They’re huge! Does the thought of hauling them around excite you? Not everybody can do that. If God has blessed you with big biceps, the transport team might be what He has equipped you for! We get the speakers and other heavy equipment into place as well as the bins for the Sunday School teachers. Come and be all you can be!
What would our worship of Jesus be on Sundays without joyful music? The Praise Band would be mute without us! We’re their roadies! We put all the pieces together before service and we take ‘em apart after. It’s a lot of wires, but it’s really easy once we “show you the ropes!”
When you’re a “church in a box,” you need lots of signs put up each week to direct folks to their destination. That’s where we come in! We prepare the halls with music stands and put up all of those neat signs that show you the way! And we’d love to have you helping us!
One of the single most effective ways that people have of getting connected in the church is via the ministry tables in the Bay Café. Help folks find key information about a small group, or a men’s gathering or a women’s activity … etc! We set up the tables in the Bay Café on Sunday mornings, display ministry information, or help take it down after the services. Just think about all of the lives that our touched! Join us!
What would a café be without coffee? Perish the thought! The Bay Café Coffee Team will never let your cup run dry!Why? Because good friendships can start over a good cup of coffee, and we care about connecting our church family. Help uson Sunday morning preparing a warm and inviting café.
We don’t have to make the bagels, but someone’s got to pick ‘em up! That’s what we do. We swing by the bakery on the way to church on Sunday morning and we deliver the goods to the Bay Café. It’s just that simple! Wanna’ help?
Do you like buttons and knobs? If you do, you know you do! You’re one of us! We run the soundboard. If you have an ear for music and a passion for using your skills to create an effective and moving worship environment, then you should consider joining us. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
Using multimedia to worship God and communicate His Word is part of who we are. And the most visible component of our contemporary worship style is our video presentation. The teaching team and the worship team rely on us to project the right information at the right time. If you have basic computer skills, we’ll teach you the rest.
It’s not as simple as flipping the lights on and off. You probably don’t notice us, but we work behind the scenes to control all of the, well, the scenes! We use various light boards to control the many different lights at our disposal to create different worship moods. So if you “see the light,” join us! And we’ll teach you the rest!
Do you have creative writing ability and want to use it well? This Team gathers information from various BACC ministries so that our Website is kept fresh and up-to-date. Each team member is assigned a specific ministry area that they will support and insure that pertinent information is well communicated on the WEB.
