What Curriculum do you use? First Look, by The Rethink Group, is the curriculum for our children ages 2 to Kindergarten and 252 Basics by The Rethink Group for children grades 1-5. Both curriculums provide a lively, Bible-based small/large group experience for the children with excellent parent materials which extend the lesson at home. The small group provides opportunities for reinforcing the day’s lesson and bottom line; while the large group provides an interactive drama and engaging worship.
How are the rooms staffed? To maintain a safe and fun learning environment our infants and walkers are cared for by one adult for every 2-4 children, our preschoolers are lead by one adult for every 4-6 children, and our elementary students are taught by one adult to every 8-10 children.
What kind of security check do the volunteers go through? All Promise Point volunteers must complete a personal interview with a Children’s Ministry Staff team member, fill out an application to work in children’s ministry, provide references, pass a criminal background check and go through an orientation class.

Children are signed in at the door of their classroom for attendance and safety reasons. Children from nursery-grade 3 are registered and receive an I.D. number. Parents must produce the I.D. tag in order to pick-up their child at the end of the service.
In the event that a staff member needs to reach the parent(s), the child’s I.D. number will appear on the video screen in the worship center.
Each member of the Children’s Ministry Team wears an official name badge.
A Children’s Security Team monitors the hallways and bathrooms and is in place to assist with evacuations. This team has been put into place as a proactive approach to the safety of our children while on campus.
