Greg St. Cyr loves traveling, new cultures, reading, basketball, gardening & woodworking…but most of all, he has a passion for Christ, the local church, and his family. Married to his “lovely bride,” Mary Kaye, for 21 years, they have 4 children: Susan, Kathy, David and Krysia. An engineering graduate from LSU, Greg spent 13 years with Campus Crusade. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, he has also studied at Capital Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Seminary. Because of his heart for the world, at times you might catch Greg saying that he feels more like a missionary than a pastor. Greg came to BACC in 1994 and has served as Senior Pastor since 1997.

Mark spearheads our regional church planting. His ministry passion is to develop leaders and pastors who start kingdom churches that multiply throughout the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. This involves overseeing our Church Planters-In-Training program, pastoral internships, and facilitating ongoing forums, community, and networking among our regional church planters. He serves on our Management Team with the Senior and Executive Pastors, and helps us foster a church culture that multiplies growing disciples and leaders throughout our various ministries. A graduate of the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business, he also has a Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary of the East. Mark married Mollie, his high school sweetheart from New Jersey, and they have three grown children: Megan, Stacie, and Ben. He enjoys pickup basketball, triathlons, reading mysteries, laughing with friends, and chasing a little white ball down the fairways.

"Worship is what we will be doing for all eternity. Our time on earth is just practice!" To borrow a phrase from Matt Redman, Marshall considers himself the "lead worshiper" at Bay Area. His brother gave him a cheapy Yamaha 6-string at 11 years old and he hasn't stopped playing since. It was in high school he believed that God would lead him to full time ministry. He enjoys Sting, James Taylor, Peter, Paul and Mary, Newsboys, Andre Segovia, Nat King Cole, and Audio Adrenaline ‹ everything from Bach to rock. Marshall studied classical guitar for two years to learn more about his instrument. He majored in Speech Communications at Biola University and studied Church Growth at Fuller Theological Seminary. He's also a movie buff but leading people into God's presence through worship is what he enjoys most. He joined Bay Area staff in 1997. He & his wife, Kelly, have three children: Lauren, Michael and Jonathan.

Brian is a former Elder and Young Adults Pastor here at BACC. He started working in ministry as a lay leader with young adults in 1996, left his career to pursue full time ministry in 2000, attended seminary and served as an intern until 2003 when he was hired as the young adults pastor overseeing Crossroads. In 2006, Brian felt God calling him to start a new work. With BACC's vision to plant churches in mind, Brian faithfully responded to the call to plant a new church. He is currently the lead pastor of the Richmond Church plant and in process of preparing a team from BACC to go and help seed this new church. That team will move and launch in 2008. Brian has been married to Suzi for 17 years. They have two teenage daughters, Abby and Ellyn.

Carolyn-you are my life love. Twenty plus years! Rachel, Rebekah, Michael and Annalise-you are my gracious gifts from Jesus. Romans 5:8 speaks to my heart. “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Thank you, Jesus, for giving your life for me, even when I was going the other direction years ago. Help me be faithful to You the rest of my days. Words: Jesus. Beach. Chesapeake. Mountains. Music. Creation. The Sword. Rob Bell. Don Miller. Chris Tomlin. Mellencamp. Van Morrison. Jean Valjean. Les Mis. Braveheart. Happy Gilmore. Seinfeld. Golf. Houston. Mustang. Stuffed shells, pizza and any Italian food. “Pull and Peel” with a movie. Talking. Listening. Hanging. Porch time. The Brothers. JMU. Small groups of friends have always been a significant part of my growth as a follower of Jesus. Our elders meet in Home Group as do our Pastors and wives. My role here at BACC is to help create a healthy group culture where life change happens around the principles of Jesus.

Casely B. Essamuah joined us as Compassionate Outreach Pastor after a highly effective ministry at Boston’s historic Park Street Church, serving as the minister of missions. In his role at Bay Area, he serves the missions leadership teams motivating, encouraging and directing Bay Area’s local, regional and global outreach. Originally from Ghana, Casely grew up in a distinguished Methodist family and has degrees from Ghana, Harvard and Boston universities. His passion is to see all of God’s people share the spiritual and physical blessing that is theirs with those who are without. Casely is married to Angela whose calling is to assist those infected and affected by AIDS, particularly orphans and widows in sub-Saharan Africa. Blessed with three kids: the lovely Zinhle (12), and the energetic boys Zikomo (9) and Zachary (6). When Casely is not dreaming/sleeping/thinking about missions, he reads, reads and reads.

Pat is the newest Pastor on Staff here at Bay Area. He is a local who graduated from Towson University as a Business Major. He is now completing his Masters in Theology through Columbia International University, Columbia, SC. After completing a three year pastoral internship at Bay Area, he was ordained and hired as the new Young Adults Pastor. Pat has a heart to help people grow in their relationship with God, and help apply God’s word into every day life. He has been married to his high school sweetheart Kristen for 4 years and they both are enjoying time with their first child, Ava Grace. He enjoys film, playing ice hockey, and any potentially dangerous extreme sport. Sadly, Pat has been a fan of the Washington Capitals most of his life.
